Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This position offers a dynamic role for an experienced Pharmacy Technician skilled in retail, mail order, and prescription processing within a fast-paced pharmacy environment. The role is based in Clearwater, FL, with a contract duration of 13 weeks, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The start date is ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer clearance. Responsibilities include accurately processing and filling prescriptions, handling insurance adjudications and resolving rejections, as well as preparing, packaging, and labeling medications for pharmacist verification. The technician will perform critical data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers. Maintaining precise inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring is essential. Additional duties involve assisting with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction, while cross-training in various pharmacy functions to support overall department operations. Strict adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance compliance is required.
Qualifications:
