Retail or Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Must be a Registered or Certified Technician with a clear Florida license Required - 1 year of experience in a retail setting Must possess friendly attitude and be highly motivated Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Ensure accurate and prompt prescription processing from start to finish which includes data entry, submitting claims to third party payer, counting, labeling and packaging medication. Handle insurance issues, including but not limited to; rejections, overrides,complete prior authorization by phone or fax. Frequently answer incoming phone calls, triage patient requests and route to appropriate department. Compounding medications - will train if necessary Communicate with patient, pharmacist, physician and all support staff in a professional manner. Research, resolve and document physician/patient inquiries and escalate requests to pharmacist as needed. Remind customers about their refills. Qualification & Skills Motivated and Self starter Strong commitment to customer service Excellent multitasking and telephone skills Excellent computer and typing skills Detail oriented Basic knowledge of specialty medications a plus Common knowledge of office equipment; phone, fax QS1/PK software prescription processing software knowledge a plus Compensation & Benefits Salary based on experience Health Insurance available after 90 days Must be able to pass drug screening and background check Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm
