Monday•Friday, Business Hours (Flexible as needed to cover staffing)
On-Call:
Limited Rx Relief is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Interim Director of Pharmacy to step into a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) leadership role near Fairfield, IA. This position is ideal for a hands-on pharmacy manager who thrives in a small hospital setting, offers operational stability, and brings direct expertise in inpatient management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations:
Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), supervising pharmacy staff, managing daily administrative and financial responsibilities, and attending leadership meetings.
Clinical & Staffing:
Function as a hands-on staffing director, stepping onto the floor to cover staffing shifts and participate in limited on-call duties as needed.
Sterile Compounding Compliance:
Oversee and maintain compliance with USP and USP standards for sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling.
Stabilization & Recruitment:
Focus on operational stabilization and actively assist with recruiting long-term pharmacy staff.
Qualifications & Requirements License:
Active, clear Iowa Pharmacist License required.
Experience:
Strong background in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings with proven management/supervisory experience.
Compounding Knowledge:
Working knowledge and familiarity with USP and USP guidelines.
Attire:
Professional dress code.

$75.00•$85.00+ / hour DOE.
