Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire Step into a pivotal leadership role overseeing the pharmacy department at a historic, community-focused acute care hospital serving Chicago's South Side. This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $185,000 annually, with an additional $3,000 eligible annual bonus and relocation assistance consideration. The hospital has proudly supported its community since 1912 and values a pharmacy leader who is passionate about impacting underserved populations.

  • Monday to
Friday:

7:00 AM

  • 10:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM
  • 8:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead full scope pharmacy operations including clinical, staffing, financial, and administrative management
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams to ensure quality pharmaceutical services
  • Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards
  • Manage a diverse pharmacy team of approximately 20 employees across full-time, part-time, and PRN roles
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing—mandatory
  • Minimum three years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care inpatient hospital
  • Minimum three years of acute care inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Experience managing a multi-tiered pharmacy staff
  • PharmD strongly preferred; board certification and hospital pharmacy residency completion are advantages
  • Proven knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS regulations
  • Previous experience in community or safety net hospital settings is beneficial
