This role involves direct oversight of 24 pharmacy staff members, ensuring seamless pharmacy operations during a temporary leadership transition. The position is a contract assignment based in Sterling, IL, ideal for those with strong hospital pharmacy leadership experience seeking an interim leadership opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily pharmacy operations, maintaining high standards of service and patient safety. Manage staffing and workflow to ensure efficient pharmacy practices. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Oversee medication safety programs to minimize risk and promote best practices. Collaborate closely with hospital executive leadership including the VP and Chief Medical Officer to align pharmacy goals with organizational objectives.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Illinois Pharmacist license is required. Demonstrated previous experience in hospital pharmacy leadership roles. Proficient in managing operations, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. Strong ability to maintain operational continuity during leadership transitions.
