Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations in Lebanon, IN. This leadership role is ideal for a pharmacy professional with a strong background in directing pharmacy services and managing medication safety and regulatory compliance within a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality pharmaceutical care. Lead and support pharmacy staff, promoting professional development and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Manage inventory, budgeting, and procurement to optimize resources and reduce waste. Collaborate with medical staff and administration to align pharmacy services with overall patient care goals. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy or similar leadership role within a hospital or healthcare system. In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and clinical practices. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to make strategic decisions and manage change effectively. Licensure as a pharmacist in good standing is required.
