Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Contract Join a well-established community pharmacy as a Staff Pharmacist to provide crucial retail pharmacy services. This contract opportunity is based in Monticello, IN, supporting a regional hospital's community pharmacy in Winamac, IN. The role requires a licensed Indiana pharmacist with retail experience, contributing to patient care through accurate medication dispensing and order verification.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill and verify pharmacy orders, ensuring accuracy and safety. Check technician-prepared products before release to patients. Maintain the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances in compliance with regulations. Enter orders and patient information accurately using PioneerRx (preferred experience). Collaborate with pharmacy staff to uphold high standards of service and care.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Indiana Pharmacist License. Prior retail pharmacy experience is required. Familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system preferred. Commitment to professional business casual dress code.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Every other Saturday coverage from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Three days of training/orientation required prior to starting the role. Local candidates only. This contract assignment starts June 29th and continues on an ongoing basis until a permanent pharmacist is hired.
