Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to support their busy operation. This role involves delivering exceptional pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment, supported by a strong team of pharmacy technicians. The ideal candidate will hold an active Kentucky Pharmacist license and bring recent retail experience, demonstrating proficiency with PioneerRx software.
Location:
Mount Sterling, Kentucky Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (four weekdays a week) Saturday coverage 1 to 2 times per month, 9:00 AM - 2:00
PM Responsibilities:
Verify prescription accuracy and ensure patient safety Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related inquiries Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians Use PioneerRx system to process and manage prescriptions efficiently Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations Participate actively in daily operations within a high-volume retail setting (approx. 3,000 prescriptions/week) Deliver excellent customer service to patients and pharmacy staff Assist with Saturday shifts as scheduled
Qualifications:
Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing required Recent retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred Experience with PioneerRx is an asset Capable of working effectively in a high-volume environment Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities proactively Flexibility to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month This position is contract to hire, offering an opportunity to grow within a supportive and dynamic pharmacy environment.
