Director of Pharmacy (OOJ - 46556) 150000-210000 / US Dollars / Annual Salary NPAworldwide Recruitment Network update Last updated: Jun/22/2026 Job Description Direct the personnel, operational, and financial activities of the pharmacy services function for the assigned operating unit. Identify the need for policy development and/or revision, and define policies in collaboration with higher-level management, input, goals, and objectives. Oversee or direct the development, implementation, and/or revision of function procedures/protocols in accordance with system-wide goals and objectives. Approve procedures/protocols and/or seek other departmental approvals as appropriate. Develop, monitor, and revise functional processes in accordance with system-wide goals and objectives. Provide input into the development and revision of organizational structure for the function. Approve personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, etc. Ensure the timely completion of performance appraisals. Develop current to intermediate goals and measures for a major function. Measure and assess performance. Assist in long-range goal development as requested. Assist in the development of and monitor the budget for a major function. Monitor activities for and ensure compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements, and company policies. Implement external and internal audit recommendations as directed. Ensure hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Master's degree in Pharmacy or comparable graduate degree. Postgraduate residency training and/or additional coursework in business administration preferred. Three to five years of experience in pharmacy administration in a hospital setting, including two to three years of supervisory/leadership experience. Pediatric experience highly preferred. Registered Pharmacist and Controlled Substance licensures in the State of Michigan obtained within 3 months of entry into the job. Why is This a
