IV Sterile Compounding Retail Staff Pharmacist - Winston-Salem, North Carolina RPh on the Go - 4.1 Winston-Salem, NC Job Details Permanent | Temp-to-hire 11 hours ago Qualifications Licensed Pharmacist (State-Specific) Doctor of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist Full Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialty retail pharmacy in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to support their sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with a chance to transition into a permanent role, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience and a valid North Carolina pharmacy license. Experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding is highly desired, though not required. Training will be provided for order entry using PK software, which is similar to QS1.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately in a specialty retail setting with a focus on compounded prescriptions. Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications following established protocols. Maintain compliance with state pharmacy laws and company policies. Enter prescription orders accurately and efficiently using PK software. Counsel patients on medication use and provide excellent customer service. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina. 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail or compounding. Experience with sterile compounding is a strong plus. Familiarity with non-sterile compounding procedures is beneficial. Ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
Schedule:
