Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire An experienced Pharmacy Manager opportunity is available in Ogdensburg, NY, at a well-established retail pharmacy location. This role can be offered as either an interim or permanent position, providing flexibility depending on your career goals. The schedule includes Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm and Saturdays from 9am to 3pm, with Sundays closed.
Key Responsibilities:
Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies. Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations to achieve financial objectives including budget management, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control. Lead and manage pharmacy support personnel, including performance reviews and training. Ensure all pharmacy associates complete required company training. Engage in business development initiatives within the store and community. Provide patient counseling on medication use, potential interactions, and side effects. Participate actively in patient-centered services such as immunization, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Maintain continuous quality improvement efforts to ensure patient safety. Keep the pharmacy environment organized and compliant with legal and company standards. Complete continuing education as required by state law.
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist in New York State. Immunization certification with confidence in administering all vaccines. Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
