Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire This leadership role in a retail pharmacy setting requires a dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations and foster strong collaboration with the store operations team. Located in Binghamton, NY, this direct hire opportunity offers variable day and afternoon shifts totaling 62 hours bi-weekly, with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a cooperative relationship with store operations, driving associate engagement and communicating departmental and company strategies. Ensure prescription accuracy and regulatory compliance by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Manage the pharmacy department to build profitability and increase prescription volume through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Collaborate with district management and pharmacy staff to control inventory and meet customer demand while optimizing profits. Align department goals with seven key performance metrics focused on effectiveness and efficiency. Deliver excellent customer service by assisting with medical inquiries and providing healthcare counseling. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Uphold pharmacy security and cleanliness standards. Address customer questions and concerns to strengthen trust and loyalty. Liaise with physicians and utilize reference materials to resolve prescription issues. Oversee pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls, ensuring timely completion.Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Active New York State Pharmacist License. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality patient care, and the ability to drive business growth in a retail pharmacy environment.
