Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire Manage a dynamic retail pharmacy operation as a full-time Pharmacy Manager based in Binghamton, NY. This direct hire opportunity involves overseeing a productive pharmacy team while driving business growth and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Foster collaboration with store operations and pharmacy staff to enhance associate engagement and communicate strategic direction. Ensure accuracy of prescription fulfillment by conducting comprehensive Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance. Lead efforts to grow the pharmacy's script volume through clinical programs, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management initiatives. Manage inventory effectively by tracking sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer needs and optimize profitability. Set and monitor performance objectives tied to core department metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing medical inquiries and providing health counseling. Supervise and develop pharmacy pharmacists, associates, and support staff through training, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer concerns to build trust and loyalty. Collaborate with physicians and utilize reference resources for prescription and customer issue resolution. Oversee pharmacy cleanliness, orderliness, and ongoing staff development to enhance performance and reduce turnover. Prioritize and complete essential pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory control, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree. Active New York State Pharmacist License. Demonstrated leadership skills in a retail pharmacy setting. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, compliance, and clinical program implementation.
Schedule:
Variable day and afternoon shifts. Approximately 62 hours bi-weekly.
