Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire A full-time Pharmacy Manager opportunity is available at a well-established retail location in Binghamton, NY. This direct hire position offers a dynamic work schedule with variable day and afternoon shifts, totaling approximately 62 hours bi-weekly. The role is slated to start as soon as possible. Key responsibilities include maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate departmental and company strategies. The manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions through comprehensive Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, compliant with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Building a profitable business by growing prescription volume through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) is a core focus. The role involves inventory management, supervising pharmacy staff, directing training and coaching, and overseeing security within the pharmacy. Exceptional customer service skills are essential to assist with medical-related issues and healthcare counseling, as well as resolving customer complaints to foster trust and loyalty. Additional duties include maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy, prioritizing departmental tasks, and supporting ongoing staff development to improve performance and reduce turnover.
