Job Description

Pharmacy Manager As an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager, the caregiver will manage the daily operations of ARMC s inpatient pharmacy services and identify, develop and implement innovative, systematic and timely solutions to improve quality. This role includes personnel leadership and inventory management, as well as support for the implementation of various projects.
Education Minimum requirement:
Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from a university accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Required Licensure or Certification Minimum requirement: Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) Required Length and Type of Experience Upon start, completion of a Health-system Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency or minimum of 3 years of relevant pharmacy experience, including at least 1 year of leadership experience, upon start. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills sufficient to resolve complex patient problems. Excellent analytical skills with ability to gather and present complex information. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills to deal with all levels of the organization and diverse cultures. Strong computer system knowledge, understanding of pharmacy equipment, and pharmacy systems management. Required Physical and Environmental Demands Requires full range of motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires hearing and vision corrected to normal range. Ability to operate office machines with or without adaptive devices. May require walking, standing, and/or sitting for extensive periods of time.
Responsibilities:
Identify customer needs and facilitates meeting those needs utilizing continuous process improvement techniques Identify and propose practical solutions to technical, professional, personnel or procedural problems affecting daily workflow. Ensure that the department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel. Establish work assignments and schedules. Actively participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities. Participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities. Train and instruct caregivers as to their duties. Coordinate orientation and training of new employees in job functions and responsibilities and assume responsibility for new hire and annual competencies. Direct and monitor the day-to-day operations of pharmacy staff to ensure optimal workflow, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. Manage all human resource responsibilities for pharmacy technicians, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, compliance with Board of Pharmacy standards, ongoing performance improvement, and corrective action processes Monitors financials and other pertinent statistics. Assist with evaluations of financial performance as assigned. Maintain records of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs received in accordance with state and federal laws. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory standards and applicable laws. Assist in reviewing and developing policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements. Conduct or oversee audits to ensure compliance with standards and policies. Precept pharmacy residents and pharmacy students. Perform duties as a staff pharmacist or other duties as assigned.
