Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A pharmacy leadership opportunity awaits at a well-established retail location in Newport, PA. This full-time position is ideal for a licensed Pharmacist ready to take charge of pharmacy operations and drive clinical program growth in a dynamic retail environment. The role emphasizes collaboration with store management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong business partnership with the store operations team, communicating company strategies and driving associate engagement within the pharmacy. Ensure prescription accuracy and appropriateness through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Manage pharmacy performance by aligning objectives with key departmental metrics, fostering script growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Oversee inventory control efforts, collaborating with district management to optimize stock levels and meet customer needs. Supervise pharmacy staff, including training, coaching, discipline, and team performance development. Manage customer relations by addressing concerns and providing expert healthcare counseling. Maintain pharmacy security, cleanliness, and orderliness to support efficient operations. Prioritize departmental tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call fulfillment to ensure timely completion.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree. Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License. Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
Schedule & Location:
Full-time position with variable day and afternoon shifts. Located in Newport, Pennsylvania. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $59.50 to $71.50 per hour.
