Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire An established retail pharmacy location in Dingmans Ferry, PA is seeking a full-time Pharmacist for a direct hire opportunity. This role offers the chance to lead pharmacy operations while providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate departmental and corporate strategies effectively. Ensure accuracy and compliance with all prescription dispensing through thorough Drug Utilization Review and final quality assurance in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. Manage the pharmacy department to build a profitable business, driving prescription growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Control inventory management by tracking sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand while maximizing profits. Align performance objectives with measurable departmental metrics focused on effectiveness and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolving medical-related inquiries. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Maintain security and cleanliness of the pharmacy area. Handle and resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty. Communicate with physicians and use reference materials to clarify prescription information and resolve issues. Prioritize tasks such as cycle counts, inventory, and customer will-calls to ensure timely completion. Support ongoing staff development to enhance performance and reduce turnover.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree. Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License. Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
Schedule:
Variable Day and Afternoon shifts. Bi-weekly hours approximately 69.
