Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire A retail pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Manager to lead its Mifflinburg, PA location. This position offers the opportunity to drive business growth while managing a dedicated pharmacy team in a dynamic retail environment. The schedule includes variable day and afternoon shifts, with bi-weekly hours totaling 62 and shift lengths ranging from 10 to 12 hours (typically starting between 8am and 9am).
Key Responsibilities:
Foster strong collaboration with the store operations team and effectively communicate department goals and company strategy to pharmacy staff. Ensure accuracy and compliance by performing Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance according to state and federal regulations. Develop a profitable pharmacy by growing prescription volume and promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Oversee inventory management and control costs by tracking sales and ordering stock to meet customer demand. Align team performance with key pharmacy metrics, focusing on effectiveness and efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolution of customer concerns. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, leading training, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Maintain security and organization within the pharmacy and ensure adherence to operational priorities, including inventory cycle counts and will-call management. Engage with physicians and utilize professional references to resolve prescription issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License Current Pennsylvania Immunization License This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $59.50 to $71.50 per hour, potentially higher based on experience. The role requires a proactive leader committed to pharmacy excellence and patient care.
