Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A dynamic healthcare facility specializing in post-ICU recovery seeks an experienced professional to lead its pharmacy department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing patient-centered care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team, overseeing the full spectrum of pharmacy operations.
Location:
Alle Kiski region, inside a critical illness recovery hospital
Schedule:
Full Time Key Responsibilities:
Lead clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the hospital pharmacy Ensure accurate preparation and dispensing of medications in compliance with standards set by The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies Manage and administer the Adverse Drug Reaction Program Develop and participate in new employee training and ongoing staff education Engage in quality assurance initiatives related to drug utilization and therapeutic effectiveness Monitor patient drug therapy and promote continuous quality improvement Initiate at least one clinically oriented program annually, such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing, Patient Counseling, Pain Management, or Nutritional Support Services Provide patient and family education and counseling to support recovery
Qualifications:
Completion of all educational requirements for state licensure with a current valid license in the state of practice Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the past five years BLS certification if required by state regulations
Preferred:
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with an advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency completion
Preferred:
