We are targeting people with Retail Pharmacy experience, please make sure this is clearly outlined in your resume! This opportunity offers the ability to gain experience with Epic and diverse system integrations involved in the Retail Pharmacy industry space. This role is responsible for the development, configuration, and implementation of the Epic Willow Ambulatory applications across a large academic healthcare organization. You will be required to obtain Willow Ambulatory Epic certification within 2 months of starting the role.
Work Location/Hours:
Hybrid. It will require onsite 3-4 days per month and more days over 2-3-week period during the month of October go live. Mon-Fri standard business hours and on call rotation for evenings /weekends. This requires 24 hours per day, 7 days per week availability during the standby period. The frequency varies based upon the number of colleagues in the rotation.
Responsibilities:
Epic application configuration, understanding system integrations, technical system and workflow analysis, self-development, and continuous self-study. Second and Third Level Support (Including Maintenance Activities): Independently triage and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues. Act as a mentor to less experienced staff in resolution of Level 2 and Level 3 issues.
Project Management:
Take ownership of a project and can distribute tasks to team members and meet milestone completion. Update all project management and time tracking tools accordingly. SDLC (System Development Life Cycle): Have a proficient understanding of multiple system/application development life cycles.
Vendor Relationships and System Integration:
Interact with vendors (technical issues, project initiatives) independently, as necessary.
Application Upgrades and Implementation:
Identify new functionality and/or hardware requirements. Creates test plans. Create and/or manage cutover plans including downtime. Qualifications Typically has 7+ years' experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience. Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations. Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications, and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities. Knowledge of retail pharmacy operations and billing
Preferred:
Any Epic certifications, preferably Willow Ambulatory or Willow Inpatient Certified. Knowledge of Retail Pharmacy, Pharmacy D, Pharmacy Tech, or Pharmacy supervisor. Current or past UPMC employee or contractor.
