The Director of Pharmacy provides leadership and oversight for all pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of pharmacy services. This role is responsible for regulatory compliance, staff leadership, operational excellence, quality improvement initiatives, and fostering exceptional service for customers and patients.

Salary :
$170,000 - $175,000/year (salary based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manage, coach, and develop pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and supervisors. Ensure compliance with DEA, Board of Pharmacy, CMS, FDA, Department of Health, and other regulatory requirements. Oversee pharmacy quality, productivity, workflow optimization, and customer service initiatives. Ensure compliance with
USP 795, USP
797, and USP 800 standards where applicable. Support inventory management, controlled substance accountability, compounding operations, and medication dispensing processes. Drive operational improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and patient outcomes. Collaborate with leadership teams to support business goals, staffing needs, and pharmacy performance.
Qualifications:
Degree in Pharmacy required ; PharmD preferred. Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of practice. Ability and willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in additional states as needed. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a healthcare environment. Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance requirements, and pharmacy operations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and pharmacy management systems. Ability to lift, carry, push, or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
