Direct Hire Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise pharmacy department operations, including clinical pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, DOH, and Board of Pharmacy standards. Provide ongoing training, support, and performance feedback to pharmacy staff to promote professional growth, process improvement, and departmental success. Collaborate with supervisors to review and enhance operating procedures, policies, and workflows to improve service quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Participate actively in hospital committees and special projects to align pharmacy services with organizational goals. Oversee the development and implementation of department objectives, budget recommendations, and forecasting of revenues and expenses. Maintain proper systems for documentation, including authorized prescriber signatures and pharmaceutical supply management. Perform duties consistent with those of a Staff Pharmacist as necessary.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state required. Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years. Demonstrated ability to efficiently operate a pharmacy within a healthcare organization.
Preferred Experience:
At least one year in a managerial or leadership role within a pharmacy setting.
