Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient medication profiles, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Your expertise will contribute to safe medication administration, efficient pharmacy operations, and exceptional patient service. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, including labeling medications with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, expiration date checks, and proper storage practices. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating medical records, and ensuring accurate documentation of medication histories. Administer medications under supervision, including IV infusions and other specialized therapies in compliance with hospital protocols. Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology and critical care practices to ensure accurate communication and documentation. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to facilitate medication administration and optimize patient outcomes. Skills Proven experience as a pharmacy technician with familiarity in retail pharmacy environments. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and pharmacy operations. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and communication. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. Ability to accurately perform intake procedures, verify prescriptions, and document medication details thoroughly. Pay:
$13.00 - $18.00 per hour
