Pharmacy Tech at Catholic Health Initiatives in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Pharmacy Tech, you'll help our patients feel better by providing safe and effective medications to them. You'll help our doctors and nurses feel better knowing that you are providing accurate and timely medication to patients. Every day, you'll build trust by being extremely thorough and accurate at all times. Patient safety is your top priority, so you do everything you can to ensure all prescriptions are authentic, prepared correctly both in medication type and dosing, and are dispensed appropriately, under the Pharmacist's guidance. To be successful in this role, you follow all safety protocols, including those intended to prevent infection, and you keep a clean work area at all times. You are eager to learn or help out in any way needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and get our patients their medications. + Perform all duties of a pharmacy technician in accordance with established policies and procedures related to the preparation and distribution of medication + Perform duties required to restock IV room + Perform duties required in processing IV credits, restocking returns, and documenting waste + Perform duties required for preparation and dispensing of IV solutions + Perform duties required for narcotic distribution and assist in discrepancy resolution + Answer phone and determine order status; triage calls for appropriate resolution Job Requirements Required + High School Graduate or High School GED +
Pharmacy Technician:
AR license + Must have 2 years experience for a Pharmacy Tech II Preferred + 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience Where You'll Work CHI St. Vincent, a regional health network serving Arkansas, is part of CommonSpirit Health.
