Job Description
FalconTek has multiple openings for Pharmacy Technicians to perform services on a long term program supporting the Veterans Affairs. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, pharmacy technicians perform routine pharmacy functions including receiving prescriptions from patients in writing or electronically from physicians. Pharmacy technicians prepare prescriptions by counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing the medication if necessary. Pharmacy technicians maintain patient profiles, prepare insurance claim forms, stock, and take inventory of medications. Pharmacy technicians prepare medications for inpatients in various settings, including sterile product preparation. It is preferred for each contract pharmacist and technician to have at least 2 years of experience in hospital (inpatient) pharmacy. You MUST currently have a REAL ID or valid Passport Qualifications Candidates must be Certified by the National Pharmacy Technician Board Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of citizenship or legal residency in the United States Must be 18 years old and a high school graduate or have GED Must be able to read and communicate in English Understand how to perform basic mathematical calculations Be able to lift 50 pounds, twist, and stoop; push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack Have the ability to stand for long periods of time (8-9 hours) performing repetitive motion Be able to meet production/accuracy standards required by the facility Be able to understand and meet all safety standards Be able to meet all regular hours and overtime hours that are required by the facility Must be able to pass a federal background check NO felony convictions or record of domestic violence, theft, or drug related charges Must be able to pass drug screening, including THC (marijuana) Pay and Benefits 2nd shift $22.72 ($21.97 + $.75 shift differential) per hour plus benefits Competitive hourly rate and full benefits package to include: Company paid medical, dental, and vision packages Life insurance 401K Paid time off Paid sick time off Paid Federal holidays Weekly pay
Hours of Operation Second Shift:
3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m., Monday-Friday; weekends and holidays as directedResponsibilities:
Process and prepare prescription orders accurately with appropriate medications for pharmacist verification Prepare and dispense medications under supervision of pharmacist. Maintain inventories of drugs and supplies and maintaining stock control. Operate various types of pharmacy automation. Fill and stock medications.Job Types:
