Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, including sterile IV admixture and compounding medications. Assist with medication inventory management, including stock replenishment, expiration date monitoring, and proper storage procedures. Enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems with precision, ensuring all patient information is maintained confidentially and in accordance with data entry protocols. Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions, verifying prescriptions, and supporting medication administration processes. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Perform aseptic techniques during sterile compounding procedures to maintain a sterile environment for IV infusion preparation. Support hospital or community pharmacy operations by managing intake, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records for audit readiness. Qualifications Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician in LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, clinical pharmacy, or hospital settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; relevant state pharmacy technician certification required where applicable. Experience with pharmacy software systems and drug regulation compliance is essential for success in this role. Strong understanding of aseptic technique, sterile IV admixture procedures, and hospital or community pharmacy workflows. Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent customer service skills combined with a commitment to patient care and safety; familiarity with medication administration processes is a plus.
