Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, particularly in acute and critical care settings. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients, including IV infusions. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns related to medication administration. Maintain accurate records of medication distribution and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations. Support the pharmacy team in managing inventory, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring expiration dates of medications. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management. Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance pharmacy operations and patient safety. Educate patients on proper medication usage, including inhalation techniques for respiratory therapies. Qualifications Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required. Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred, especially in acute or critical care environments. Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and pharmacy practices. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in using pharmacy software systems and technology for medication management. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in patient care.
