This travel position offers a unique "5 on, 5 off" schedule, providing a balanced work-life rhythm during the contract duration of 8 to 13 weeks.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Pharmacy Technician licensure Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy settings Skilled in making IVs, including IV piggybacks (IVPB) and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) Proficient in filling Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets Familiarity with order entry systems, specifically Allscripts/Paragon Strong communication skills for answering calls and interacting with nursing staff

Gardena, California Primary Responsibilities:

Accurately fill and manage Pyxis medication cabinets Prepare IV medications, including IVPBs and TPNs, maintaining sterile techniques Respond promptly to telephone inquiries from nursing units and pharmacy staff Deliver medications efficiently to nursing units to support patient care Utilize Allscripts/Paragon for order entry and medication tracking

Schedule/Hours:

Night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM 5 consecutive days on, followed by 5 days off 10-hour shifts; specific dates adapted to payroll schedule This contract role offers competitive compensation tailored to your needs and a dynamic work environment supporting 173 licensed beds with an average daily census of 140 patients.
