Where You'll Work Founded in 1955, Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is a 394-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Pharmacy Tech, you'll help our patients feel better by providing safe and effective medications to them. You'll help our doctors and nurses feel better knowing that you are providing accurate and timely medication to patients. Every day, you'll build trust by being extremely thorough and accurate at all times. Patient safety is your top priority, so you do everything you can to ensure all prescriptions are authentic, prepared correctly both in medication type and dosing, and are dispensed appropriately, under the Pharmacist's guidance. To be successful in this role, you follow all safety protocols, including those intended to prevent infection, and you keep a clean work area at all times. You are eager to learn or help out in any way needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and get our patients their medications. Assist the pharmacist in the preparation of all sterile parenteral and irrigation products. Exchange all unit-dose cassettes. Utilizing computerized fill list, provide a 24-hour patient supply of unit-dose medication in individual cassette. Complete the accurate charge/credit notation for use by the data entry clerk. Accurately and legibly label all medication containers per established label format. Properly completes all extemporaneous pre-pack and manufacturing logs. Job Requirements Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have at least six months of experience in hospital pharmacy with unit dose IV additive experience or equivalent of one year general pharmacy experience. Must have the ability to type at least 15 words per minute. California Board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure required. Fire Safety card required.
