Job Description
Amergis Staffing is seeking an experienced
- Non-Retail Pharmacy Technician
- for a full-time, weekday assignment supporting county pharmacy operations across multiple detention facilities. This role is ideal for techs who excel in structured environments, have strong inventory and medication-handling skills, and are comfortable traveling between sites using a county vehicle.
- Position Overview
- The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacists with medication preparation, inventory management, controlled-substance documentation, unit-dose repackaging, and delivery of medications to automated dispensing cabinets across five detention facilities. This is a highly regulated environment requiring accuracy, reliability, and strong attention to detail.

- + Maintain supplies and equipment at pharmacy workstations + Order, receive, unpack, label, and store incoming medications + Reconcile packing slips, orders, and invoices + Maintain adequate stock levels; report shortages, back-orders, recalls + Process requisitions for pharmaceuticals + Keep accurate records of all medications dispensed + Maintain complete controlled-substance documentation; reconcile discrepancies immediately + Repackage bulk medications into unit-dose packaging + Transport medications to/from pharmacy + Count, pour, mix, or compound medications under pharmacist supervision + Use county vehicle to deliver medications and load automated dispensing cabinets at •five detention facilities•(Martinez, Richmond, Marsh Creek, etc.
- Required Qualifications

- 813.371.7156 Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Non-Retail Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in processing medication orders by assembling and preparing medications to be dispensed for inpatient and/or outpatient services.
Minimum Requirements:
