Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A Specialty Infusion Pharmacy in Orange Cove, CA is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join their team on a 13-week contract with potential for temp-to-hire. This role offers consistent Monday through Friday daytime hours, providing a stable schedule in a specialized pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Input patient demographics, insurance details, and process medication refills, including billing claims and authorization requests. Label and package injectable, oral, topical medications, and ancillary supplies according to patient orders. Prepare and coordinate shipments, confirm deliveries with patients, and reconcile shipments against packing slips. Unpack medication deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records. Perform daily and monthly cleaning and disinfection of the IV room in compliance with USP standards and company policies. Deliver exceptional customer service through clear verbal and written communication. Support the 340B program and assist with various pharmacy operations as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

California Pharmacy Technician License required. Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital, ambulatory care, or infusion pharmacy settings. Familiarity with IV medication preparation and handling is essential. Local candidates preferred for ease of onboarding and team integration.
