Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Per Diem A dynamic opportunity exists for a Pharmacy Technician to support a busy county hospital pharmacy in San Francisco. This position offers a registry role, providing flexibility with an average of 24 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with the potential for busier weeks exceeding 40 hours.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, label, and dispense medications accurately in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. Utilize pharmacy technology systems including EPIC and Omnicell for medication management and documentation. Assist pharmacists in inventory management and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service and support to healthcare staff and patients. Adapt to varying shift start times (6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, and 3 pm) with 8.5-hour shifts, including a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications:

Pharmacy Technician certification or relevant experience; new graduates and retail pharmacy technicians are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred but not required. Ability to work reliably 3 to 4 days per week, flexible to fluctuating hours. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
