Fluent in Spanish and English 7. 3+ Years of Pharmacy Experience We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team with a primary focus on workers' compensation prescriptions and case management support. The ideal candidate will combine pharmacy knowledge with strong administrative, computer, and communication skills to ensure timely patient intake, accurate documentation, and efficient coordination with providers, patients, adjusters, and case managers. This position requires excellent multitasking, professionalism in handling sensitive information, and proficiency in Outlook, PDF document creation, and digital workflows. You will play a key role in ensuring that injured workers receive their medications promptly while maintaining compliance with regulatory, insurance, and documentation requirements. Key Duties & Responsibilities Pharmacy & Patient Support Conduct patient intake for workers' compensation cases, verifying demographics, claim numbers, prescriber information, and insurance coverage. Process and manage workers' compensation prescriptions, including prior authorizations, refill requests, and formulary checks. Provide updates to patients regarding prescription status, approvals, and delivery timelines. Perform delivery follow-up calls to confirm receipt of medications and resolve issues. Communication & Coordination Serve as a point of contact for claims adjusters, case managers, attorneys, and providers regarding prescription and treatment status. Manage and respond promptly to Outlook email communications, maintaining a high level of organization and professionalism. Document all interactions in the pharmacy management system to ensure accurate and compliant records. Administrative & Technical Support Create, edit, and distribute PDF forms and digital documents (intake forms, treatment authorizations, patient consent forms) for patients, adjusters, and providers to sign electronically. Track outstanding documents and follow up to ensure completion and return. Maintain organized digital records of all workers' compensation communications and documentation. Assist with compiling reports for management or compliance purposes (e.g., open claims, pending authorizations, delivery confirmations). General Pharmacy Technician Duties Support pharmacists in prescription preparation, labeling, and verification. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state pharmacy regulations. Participate in staff training and contribute to workflow improvements related to workers' compensation services. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory, particularly for medications frequently dispensed under workers' compensation cases. Qualifications Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing (state-specific). 2+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, specialty, or mail order preferred). Prior experience handling workers' compensation cases strongly preferred. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Adobe/PDF tools. Excellent typing, data entry, and multitasking skills. Strong communication skills—both written (professional email correspondence) and verbal. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of accuracy. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) Experience with case management software or pharmacy management systems. Knowledge of medical billing / claims processing for workers' compensation. Familiarity with digital signature platforms (DocuSign, Adobe Sign, HelloSign). Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish/English) a plus.Job Type:
