Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in providing patient service and care in a hospital setting
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Perform IV infusion preparations and calculations
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of drug interactions
- Follow aseptic technique when handling sterile products
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
- Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) required
- Experience in an acute care or critical care setting is a plus
- Proficient in medical terminology and drug names
- Knowledge of IV infusion procedures and calculations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
