Duties:
  • Assist pharmacists in providing patient service and care in a hospital setting
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently
  • Perform IV infusion preparations and calculations
  • Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of drug interactions
  • Follow aseptic technique when handling sterile products
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) required
  • Experience in an acute care or critical care setting is a plus
  • Proficient in medical terminology and drug names
  • Knowledge of IV infusion procedures and calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
