  • Must be in or around Aurora Colorado 2101 N Ursula St, Ste 35, Aurora, CO 80045 6 months with possible extensions to a year The state license would be a requirement.
The national certification is preferred but is not required. The state of Colorado will issue a provisional technician license for 18 months to allow time for national certification. This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers. Transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. Also assist with the prior authorization process, data entry, filling of prescriptions, shipping medications, and helping walk-in patients. Help with other functions as directed by the site leader.
  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function.
  • National pharmacy technician certification preferred. Eligible for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations.
  • Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.
  • Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.
Position Summary:
This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.
Duties:
  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function.
  • National pharmacy technician certification. Eligible for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations.
  • Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.
  • Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.
Experience:
Minimum (1) year experience required in a customer service position with high volume call center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.
Education:
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
