Pharmacy Tech 2 Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $22.83
  • $34.26 an hour
  • Per Diem
  • Variable Days/Shift
  • Rate includes Per Diem Differential.
+$2.50/hr for evening and weekend shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Pharmacy Tech 2 who fills and maintains the automated dispensing system, prepares drug orders, completes cart fills, compounds IVs, assists pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians as needed.

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician national certification required
  • Pharmacy Technician state certification (PHAT or PHAT-P) required
  • Minimum 1-year hospital pharmacy technician experience required Responsibilities
  • Answers telephone and window.
  • Fills medication orders.
  • Understands automated dispensing system.
  • Is able to work with automated reports.
  • Is able to work all functions of automated dispensing system.
  • Is able to load medications into the system.
  • Is able to take care of narcotic dispensing in the system.
  • Runs reports on system as needed.
  • Prepares IVs using aseptic technique.
  • Handles hazardous drugs and waste appropriately.
