Pharmacy Technician - Full Time- 32 Hours - Sterile/Hazardous Compounding

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the provision of a safe and effective medication use system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Pyxis Management:

Refilling, inventory management and auditing

Medication Compounding:

Hazardous, Non-Sterile and Sterile compounding Packaging medications: Tablet and oral syringe unit dose packaging.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Current State of Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license or Intern Registration required
• National Certification required
• Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience required
• Sterile Compounding experience required
• Hazardous Compounding experience preferred

WORK SCHEDULE

32 hours per week, Rotating shifts M-F 630a-3p, 830a-5p and 1130a-8p ; every 4th weekend Sat, Sun 630-1 and 2 holidays per year We are an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/D/V
