•5:00 PM | Office Setting A dynamic role is available for a certified pharmacy technician in an office environment with a 13-week contract and potential extension or conversion to hire. The position requires an experienced professional who thrives in a detail-oriented, fast-paced setting and is committed to accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately process prescriptions, including insurance adjudication and resolving rejections Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification with precision Manage data entry, prescription paperwork, and communication with patients and prescribers Maintain inventory integrity through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews Support medication returns, quarantines, and destruction protocols Cross-train across pharmacy functions and assist department operations as needed Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

Must list highest level of education (e.g., HS Diploma, GED, Bachelor's degree) on resume Registered pharmacy technician in Virginia with valid national certification (PTCB, NHA, or ExCPT) Minimum 2 years of recent pharmacy technician experience in retail, closed-door, mail order, or long-term care settings (hospital experience is not applicable) Local candidates preferred to comply with on-site requirements Demonstrates strong professionalism, excellent attention to detail, and effective multitasking capabilities Exhibits positive attitude, organization, and solid time management skills This contract role offers an excellent chance for certified pharmacy technicians to utilize and grow their skills within a supportive office pharmacy setting.
