Pharmacy Technician Certification Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of medications to our patients. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
  • Maintain accurate patient records and prescription information
  • Assist in the compounding of medications
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
  • Help patients with medication adherence including home delivery of medications as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication therapy
  • Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique for non-sterile compounding
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
  • Familiarity with medication administration processes
  • Experience working in a retail or ambulatory care pharmacy setting is preferred
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Bilingual person (Fluent English and Spanish) is a plus
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred
  • Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) is preferred
  • State licensure or registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in retail pharmacy
  • Valid driving license
