Actalent is Hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician!! Job Description This role focuses primarily on handling inbound customer phone calls for a closed-door pharmacy. Over time, you will be cross-trained in pharmacy infusion processes, including prior authorization, order filling, and data entry. This position offers the opportunity to grow your skills in a specialty pharmacy environment and potentially transition to a permanent role. Responsibilities + Handle inbound customer phone calls in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. + Provide clear information and support to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive customer service experience. + Perform accurate and timely data entry of prescription and patient information into pharmacy systems. + Support pharmacy infusion processes by assisting with prior authorizations, order filling, and related documentation. + Process prior authorization requests in accordance with pharmacy procedures and payer requirements. + Assist in fulfillment activities, ensuring prescriptions are prepared accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations. + Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain smooth daily operations in a closed-door pharmacy setting. + Uphold all pharmacy standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. + Contribute to a small, family-oriented pharmacy culture by communicating effectively and supporting team members. Essential Skills + Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida. + At least 1 year of experience working as a pharmacy technician. + Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle inbound calls and assist patients professionally. + Demonstrated experience with prior authorization processes in a pharmacy setting. + Proficiency in accurate data entry and attention to detail. + Ability to support prescription fulfillment and order processing in accordance with pharmacy standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in a specialty pharmacy environment is strongly preferred. + Bilingual English-Spanish language skills are preferred and beneficial for patient communication. + Familiarity with Pioneer pharmacy software is preferred. + Comfort working in a small, family-oriented pharmacy setting. Work Environment This is an onsite position in a closed-door pharmacy located in Delray Beach, Florida. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will work in a small, family-oriented environment that emphasizes teamwork and patient-focused service. The pharmacy uses technology such as data entry systems and may utilize Pioneer pharmacy software. The role offers six paid holidays and the opportunity to transition to a permanent position, providing stability and long-term career growth in a specialty pharmacy setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delray Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
