The successful candidate will be a self-starter with high attention to detail. As an organization, our purpose is to take care of people which means seeing the patient's entire needs and ensuring the right team members in any of our service lines are aware of opportunities to improve the patients' health. The Pharmacy Technician will assist with the preparation and packaging of supplies for patients. The ideal candidate is experienced in all aspects of medication compounding and has played a significant role in the coordination of patient services. The Pharmacy Technician, under the direction of the Pharmacist, is responsible for preparing IV medications safely for patients, adhering to established protocols for State and Federal standards, and other regulatory entities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

will be: Prepares medications under the supervision of a pharmacist so they are appropriately concentrated. Pick and pack medical supplies to fill patient orders. Ensures that a licensed pharmacist properly checks all compounding and packing. Proper documentation of compounding records and billing sheets Accurately calibrates equipment. Assists with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs Ensures all pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods, and clean rooms are cleaned per company policy. Adheres to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices. Complies with state and federal laws. Manage time effectively to fulfill responsibilities. Maximize work efficiency through the use of computers and other technologies. Assists with product purchasing, inventory, and equipment management. Maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information. Maintain a professional image at all times. High School Diploma and/or GED required Registered Pharmacy Technician required in the State of Florida. Thorough working knowledge of IV medications, sterile IV mixtures, and aseptic procedures and working knowledge of basic pharmaceutical calculations Proficient with 797 Guidelines Excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team under stressful conditions at times and under time constraints.

Pay:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
