Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire A growing specialty pharmacy team in the Ft. Lauderdale area is seeking two experienced pharmacy technicians to join their AIDS/HIV-focused pharmacy. This role is ideal for professionals who demonstrate compassion and respect when serving sensitive patient populations and possess a strong commitment to teamwork and patient care.
Location:
Oakland Park, FL (Ft. Lauderdale area)
Job Type:
13-week contract to hire, starting
ASAP Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Saturday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Saturday availability required)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties including accurate data entry and medication dispensing Maintain high-level communication with patients and healthcare providers to support sensitive patient needs Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by proactively identifying and addressing workflow needs Support patient care with empathy and professionalism appropriate to an
HIV/AIDS
specialty setting
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment Experience working with
HIV/AIDS
medications is essential and must be clearly highlighted on your resume Florida Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory Proficiency with pharmacy software is required; prior experience with QS1 preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate Strong verbal and written communication skills Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to daily attendance Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Pharmacy technicians with a passion for helping vulnerable populations and delivering outstanding patient care will thrive in this rewarding position.
