Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire A certified pharmacy technician opportunity is available supporting sterile compounding operations in a dynamic pharmacy serving infusion and specialty patients. This contract-to-hire role offers stability and the chance to grow within the team, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile compounded medications under licensed pharmacist supervision following USP and standards. Maintain strict aseptic technique and cleanroom protocols. Accurately perform pharmacy calculations and compound medications. Assist with labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion therapies. Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and quality documentation. Monitor inventory, support ordering processes, and manage product rotation. Maintain cleanroom equipment and participate in environmental monitoring. Support medication order processing and prescription fulfillment activities. Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA, OSHA, and internal policies. Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, and ongoing training. Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred. Minimum of one year sterile compounding experience in hospital, oncology, home infusion, or similar settings. In-depth knowledge of USP and USP standards. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sterile environment. Proficient with pharmacy management systems and strong communication skills.
