Onsite Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role involves assisting in various pharmacy operations, including dispensing medication, inventory management, and shipping. You will work closely with a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure the accurate and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders. Responsibilities Assist in the dispensing of medication by printing pick tickets, locating corresponding drugs/supplies, and inputting correct quantities, lot numbers, and NDCs into computer software. Participate in inventory management tasks including receiving drugs from suppliers, unpacking, sorting, and logging into the computer system. Organize and store drugs and supplies on shelves in a systematic manner. Assist in the shipping process, ensuring the correct packaging for refrigerated or ambient medications, and restock gel packs and coolers. Ensure accuracy in order processing, receiving, picking, and shipping. Collaborate with team members to support departmental needs. Monitor inventory to prevent expiration or aging, and ensure timely ordering and accurate input of lot numbers and expiration dates. Essential Skills Fulfillment experience in a pharmacy setting Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT) Experience in retail or mail-order pharmacy Strong computer skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift Experience as a pharmacy technician Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
