Job Description
Pharmacy Technician Senior - Inpatient Pediatrics - ( 260003FG ) Description The Senior Pharmacy Technician supports various aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescription order entry, claim adjudication, medication preparation and dispensing, distribution, non-sterile and sterile compounding, inventory management, and the use of automated pharmacy devices and equipment. This role also involves handling controlled substances, communicating with patients, and maintaining assigned work areas. The Senior Pharmacy Technician assesses the age-specific needs of patients and performs all responsibilities in compliance with Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision, and values, as well as state and federal regulations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State - Registered Pharmacy Technician Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician in a relevant practice setting. Proficiency in the core systems and tools utilized within the practice setting. Pediatric and sterile compounding experience preferred.
