Job Description
Long-Term Care Pharmacy Filling Technician Join Our Team at 1st Choice Pharmacy 1st Choice Pharmacy is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Long-Term Care Pharmacy Filling Technician to join our production team. This position plays a critical role in preparing medications for residents in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and other long-term care settings. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment and take pride in accuracy and efficiency, we'd love to hear from you. Position Responsibilities Fill and prepare patient-specific medications in: Multi-dose blister packs (cycle fill) Single-dose blister packs Daily medication cards Cycle medication cards Maintain exceptional accuracy while meeting production goals. Stage, organize, and verify medications prior to pharmacist final review. Restock medication inventory and maintain a clean, organized workstation. Assist with cycle processing, refill requests, and packaging workflows. Follow all state, federal, and company policies regarding medication handling and patient confidentiality. Work collaboratively with pharmacists and fellow technicians to ensure timely delivery of medications. Preferred Qualifications Current Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration (or ability to obtain). Previous experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy or Long-Term Care pharmacy preferred. Experience with blister packaging, adherence packaging, or automated packaging systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent attendance, reliability, and teamwork.
