Job Description

Job Summary:
Pharmacy interns assist and support pharmacists in various aspects of the medication use process in a patient-focused manner to promote the safe and effective use of medications. Pharmacy interns will work under direct supervision of registered pharmacists and will not perform duties which legally are to be performed by a registered pharmacist only. Responsibilities of the pharmacy intern will be determined based on the specific training and skill set of each intern as well as department needs. Each year of intern employment will progress to increasing levels of clinical involvement designed to extend the role of the pharmacist.
Required Qualifications:
Require active registration as a pharmacy intern in the State of Florida. Require the ability to obtain a level 2 AHCA clearance. Require current enrollment in a College of Pharmacy.
