Integrity Compounding Pharmacy is an industry leader in the compounding marketplace. We compound sterile, non-sterile, hazardous, and non-hazardous medications. On average, we fill 400 compounds per day and are actively working to increase that number. Our motto of "Turning Problems into Solutions" demonstrates our goal to solve the hardest problems in compounding pharmacy.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Non-sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team! The Compounding Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists by compounding, stocking, labeling, maintaining records, processing prescriptions, and other duties as needed. While workflow is the main component of the position, special projects and cross-training are also required. Position requires full-time, daytime hours Monday - Friday and comes with on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license in good standing Previous experience in non-sterile compounding required Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills Developed math skills to accurately perform basic pharmaceutical calculations Strong time management skills Strong communication skills Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as standing for prolonged periods and lifting
Responsibilities:
Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients Understand and perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications using appropriate techniques and following company policies and procedures Accurately calibrate equipment Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs Ensure that all pharmacy areas are cleaned per company policy Prepare medications, under the supervision of a pharmacist, so that medications are accurately compounded Process prescriptions using computer software Adhere to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices Comply with state and federal laws Assist with the training and supervision of new pharmacy technicians and interns Label and record dosage information Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies Effectively work within a lab team
