Job Description Prime Pharmaceuticals & Compounding Pharmacy is seeking for a skilled and high-energy Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the preparation, labeling, mixing, and compounding of personalized medications to meet the unique needs of our patients. Your meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will ensure the accuracy and quality of compounded medications. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining inventory, organizing supplies, and ensuring a clean and compliant working environment. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential as you will interact with both healthcare professionals and patients to provide information and guidance on compounded medications. On time daily attendance and completing the entire shift is mandated. As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care by helping to create tailored medication solutions that address specific health requirements. Your dedication to precision and your passion for pharmaceutical compounding will be vital assets in fulfilling our commitment to improving the well-being of our community. We train the technician for the compounding process until she is comfortable to perform on her own. Position is M-F, 8 am to 4pm (40 hours weekly) No weekends
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the preparation of medications according to the dosage schedule and physician's orders. Responsible for proper documentation of all medications following proper labeling. Responsible for maintaining a clean pharmacy environment including but not limited to cleaning, stocking, and organizing of pharmacy workstations, routine checking for short dated medication, trash removal, sweeping, dusting, etc. Responsible to follow all procedures, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, following policies and procedures, etc.
Experience:
Experience in retail pharmacy is required; experience in compounding medication is preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or pharmacy certificate preferred.

$17.67 - $21.28 per hour
