The pharmacy technician opening is in an independently owned long-term care pharmacy in Bettendorf, Iowa. Our staff places a very high value on quality patient care as well as creating a positive and enjoyable work environment. Main Healthcare Pharmacy is a unique practice site that offers an excellent alternative to retail/hospital pharmacy practice settings.

Duties may include:

• Packaging medication orders in appropriate packaging type
• Packaging daily orders and preparing them for delivery to Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities.
• Interpreting and entering prescriptions and medical record information accurately in our pharmacy software
• Answer incoming calls and communicate with medical/nursing staff
• Assist the pharmacist in daily running of basic pharmacy services
• Participate in inventory control procedures and process returns This job description describes the nature and level of assignments normally given in this position.
